Our Story
Co-Lab Engineers AU is an emerging ventilation fan business making significant strides in the West. Founded in Boorloo (Perth) WA, the company was established after directors identified a unique opportunity in a niche market. They their skills, values, and determination to positively impact their families and the communities they serve.
Majority owner Jilalga Murray, a Nyangumarta/Yorta Yorta woman, has always embraced a different approach, challenging the status quo. After achieving great success as a Aboriginal Artist & Designer, she is now dedicated to managing her company and her Co-Lab’ crew. Jilalga is excited about the future, knowing that their ventilation services contribute to the well-being of others and create technical job opportunities for Aboriginal people on their Country.
Co-Lab's co-owner and technical lead, Paul Urlich, is a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer respected in the mining ventilation industry. With extensive knowledge of mine operations and large construction projects, including roles in the Gorgon Gas Project and BHP's Nelson Point Car Dumper Upgrade, Paul is passionate about ventilation fans and is affectionately known as the 'Fan Whisperer.' He is committed to his customers, to share his expertise and address their ventilation concerns.
Together, Jilalga, Paul, and their team work diligently to provide essential mine services. They cultivate a supportive and diverse workforce that builds and confidence, ensuring successful project execution while fostering positive corporate social responsibility.
